Hello friends! It’s good to be back!
We are home for now and it feels good to sleep in our own bed for a while.
Since we’ve been gone so long we feel like we need to update on where we’ve been and what we’ve been up to. Hopefully, you’ve been keeping up with the trip journals to see what ministry has been going on! So to add to that, here are a few of our favorite videos as of late.
The kids make a tunnel for our team one day, singing their favorite welcome songs. I love the way Soson’s face lights up when Eric goes by. Smarck is just calmly singing with his loving and mature eyes staring down the camera. Thanks Eric for capturing this!
Lunch is served on New Year’s day! Listen to the sound in the background, nothing much huh? That’s because the children accept food and gifts in the calmest and quietest way. No words are barely spoken, the air is filled with respect and reverence. I love these children.
Gifts are opened on New Year’s day! I love the vast difference in this video and the one above. We had just completed telling the story of Christmas, how Christ came down as a gift for us and so we give a gift on Christmas as a tradition. The children prayed a prayer of thanks to God for the gift of His Son and salvation, as well as the small physical gift they were receiving in His name. The kids are so excited to open their gifts! I wish I had more video of this moment, but this was all I came out with – too many hands needed help trying on clothes!
My little “old guy” scored an extra sandwich. Typically, if there are leftovers the smallest of the children will get a little extra. I was on water duty and he needed someone to just watch over him while he ate so the bigger boys didn’t steal his sandwich. I think he’s hilariously apathetic and chilled out which shows his personality so well. No stress, just him and his sandwich. He’s too cute! (Notice that he eats the sandwich from the top down, bread, cheese, ham, bread)
And an extra random video Eric took at the beach. Beautiful sight!
People tell me all the time that they love to see videos of our ministry, since its hard to connect through just posts and photos. Well, I hope this helps, we are going to be making a point to get more videos on our trips so you guys can stay connected!
Thanks so much, for more pictures and info add us on Facebook or like our Facebook Page – Eric and Bethany.
Good to be back!
