Summertime, and the living is…?
So here I am, after arriving in Haiti yesterday and driving around Port-au-Prince all day today, trying to collect my thoughts. I am about to kick off the summer with my first mission team in Haiti tomorrow, and I can’t help but think about how summer is a busy time for everyone.
With plans made and groups on the move, I find myself stressed out at times doing my best to ensure all the details are in place and often have trouble seeing and appreciating the amazing things Christ is orchestrating around us.
I’m not sure what plans you have made this summer, but it’s my prayer for myself, you, and all those folks out there serving for Christ that, regardless of what our plans are, we don’t get too busy with the details that we lose focus on the work God is doing around us.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:6-7
Here’s to an amazing summer!
